Seen more and more people nearly convinced that Temperance was killed off and I just...don't really get it?? To me it was pretty clear that Ken didn't eat their brain to kill them (which would defeat the entire premise of the show since nobody stays dead) and rather to keep them imprisoned in his stomach, so they can't snitch. I mean, think about it: he's done essentially the same thing to Jack at the start of the pilot. But this time he's not taking any chances, since Temperance is clearly much deeper involved in this mess than the poor guy ever was.

Sooo, what better place to hide someone you REALLY need to stay quiet, than in yourself?

I feel like they'll show up again in mostly flashbacks and mentions, probably won't leave their tummy prison for majority of the series, though.

I do wonder if they'll be released by accident or on purpose....maybe to help the gang out? Who knows.

Excited to learn more about this world and how it works ngl! Can't wait to see more of them too, ofc :]

(Honorary mention: Diligence got outright pulvarised, whole body and brain grinded into dust, but they still came back at the end of the pilot. Soooo, rlly don't know why that's even a worry/discussion tbh)

Amity Park absolutely adores her little ghostling, her little Gatekeeper who was of her own ectoplasm, reborn from her own blood in the center of her new heart. She absolutely adores her baby, practically a newborn, being only a year dead! 

So of course she had to gush and boast about her little phantom to the other city spirits! They all got together to gossip sometimes after all. And both Smallville and Fawcett started to gush about their own little ones back! 

Gosh they should set up a playdate at some point, her little phantom could use some friends in the mortal realm. Well some more friends, three is obviously not enough. Oh, Gotham and Bludhaven have come over as well! It’s a playdate then! 

Now if only each of their world’s timelines were synced up, but at least everyone is around the same age!

the problem with my chaos gremlin writing style of hopping back and forth between whatever scene takes my interest in the moment is that i end up going from tentative, soft, maybe reconciliation moments to unhinged, feral closest-they'll-ever-come-to-hating-each-other stuff and i'm giving myself whiplash help me

He doesn't feel like going home immediately, so he figures maybe he'll walk around a little first, lose himself in the anonymity of the city at night. Turns out that's a terrible idea because he rounds a corner and across the road there's Tommy. There's Tommy and a guy. There's Tommy and a guy, and Buck would bet actual money they're winding up a date. Tommy's wearing a nice shirt, and he has his hair styled just so, and Buck knows the cologne he'll be wearing. He knows that move too, the touch to the small of the guy's back as Tommy sees him into the car that pulls up as Buck watches.

He's so goddamn mad. 

He's seething. 

He doesn't have a right to be mad, and he's mad about that too.

Not thinking about anything other than that he's so, so goddamn mad, Buck dives across the road, pulling up short in front of Tommy, heaving breaths and shaking hands. Tommy's eyes go wide.

"E - Buck. What are - "

Busted, you asshole, Buck thinks viciously.

"That your boyfriend?" he asks. Demands, really. He's so goddamn mad that he doesn't have the right to demand anything of Tommy, and he's so goddamn mad that Tommy just keeps giving it to him anyway, every single time, except for when it really counts.

"No, he - "

"Good," Buck snaps. "You called a car yet?"

"Uh. Yeah?"

Tommy's looking at him like he's lost his mind, and Buck can't blame him.

"Good." 

Buck folds his arms and waits while Tommy's eyes burn a hole in the side of his face. He doesn't look at him, thinking stop me, then, asshole. Tell me no. But Tommy doesn't. He doesn't tell Buck no, but he doesn't say anything else either. When the car pulls up, Tommy has the fucking nerve to open the door for Buck. Buck wants to slam it closed on his stupid head.

In the darkness of the back of the car, Buck feels like he's vibrating in the seat. His knee is bouncing up and down, he's staring out the window, his jaw is so tense he thinks he might crack a tooth.

"He's Lucy's cousin's friend. She wouldn't shut up until I - "

"Did I ask?" Buck demands, not looking away from the streetlights whipping past, flick-flick-flick in time with his racing heart.

"I guess not," Tommy says quietly after a moment.

I don't actually think the 'asshole' characters are interesting. I don't care about the 'hes a prick to everyone but one person' thing. I hate the 'asshole and sunshine' trope. If someone is even a little mean to me I will probably cry later, I dont have time for that nonsense

their bio name is Judith but started going by Judas after their family was killed for anonymity reasons? ( tbh they weren't very smart with it bc both names have the first 3 letters but you get the idea ). They're mainly referred to as Judas by their cult and " Judy " by Naenia/Their Narinder ( quick note some info on that is most likely outdated )

actually has a decent/positive relationship with Naenia ( granted it wasnt like that at first especially because they were planning to betray Naenia after slaying the bishops but at the end they couldn't bring themselves to kill her so they spared her )

less hung up abt being a cult leader compared to Solange but prefers to use " Herd " instead of cult ( sounds better to them personally )

speaking of their cult during vesselhood it was kind of a shitshow due to them not knowing how to properly keep the faith up so there were a shit ton of dissenters ( didn't help that they were pretty aggressive to their followers too. ) postgame They got the hang of running their cult/herd and is less aggressive to their followers ( it helps that Naenia is sort of the secondary leader in a way )

They train their followers to fight so returning to missionaries alive is greatly increased

as i mentioned before in Solange's universe ( which i'll dub the lambverse ) Judith/Judas also existed and was close with Solange but ended up getting killed by heretics sometime before Solange's execution ( stabbed multiple time in the stomach )

on the flipside in Judas' universe the Solange there was also close to them and unfortunately got killed by heretics(?) sometime before Judas' death ( throat was slit )

as a result Judas (Goatverse) and Solange (Lambverse) had an instant connection and bonded fast.

there is angst related to the fact that they aren't exactly the same as their alternate universe counteparts ( the ones that died )

Judas often hangs around Solange's cult and helps her with training her followers to fight

almost halfway through oh no! here comes trouble, and the way these supernatural beings coming to pu yiyong for help are designed is beautiful but also devastating. they're manifestations of people's wishes, their yearning, their desperation. a deity willed into existence to watch over a river, so its people could live there. a companion wished for by someone who's lost everyone else. a guardian to protect those children who died crossing the street. and yet these beings exist because of humans, shaped in the likeness of us, and so the struggles they face are very human ones too. that deity wishes for freedom, for no one has stayed by the river to remember it. the girl who was a companion is as lonely as the boy who made her, and she just wants to see his face, know his name. the man who watches over those has lost his own, and he doesn't know who to turn to. this show makes my heart ache but it's a string of cathartic case studies on grief and memory and holding on/letting go of these things, i'm glad i finally decided to watch it
